Meet Shirley – The winner of the "Free smart home makeover worth SGD 3,000" giveaway

In October 2024, OnSmart Living held a Smart Home Giveaway, and Shirley was the lucky winner. As a homeowner of a 3-room condo, Shirley was eager to explore how smart technology could enhance her daily life. Today, we take you inside her home and share how she turned her vision into a personalized smart living experience.

After the first on-site consultation, Shirley gained a deeper understanding of what a smart home could offer.

Personalized routines and scenes

One of Shirley’s biggest goals was to create a comfortable space for herself, her piano and her dogs.

We planned out and set up 10 smart scenes for Shirley and here are her top 4 favorite:

Practice mode: Down lights and tracks lights are on, curtains also open to create a wide and bright space.
Performance mode: The pendant light turns on while other lights switch off, creating a focus effect for the piano player.
Leave Home Scene: Shirley don't set up to turn off all the devices but she leaves a few lights on for the dogs, closes the curtains, the temperature sensor will trigger the air con on if it's too hot.
Good night scene: Everything outside turns off, bedroom lights are set to dim in an hour and air conditioning turns on, and the home transitions into a peaceful sleep mode.

Shirley is a piano teacher and one of her most special requests was to create a smart music room, a space where she could teach, play music, and enjoy a comfortable environment.
